Sports Basement Weekly Email - 12/01

Howdy people of the running nature...
Can you believe it's already December? The cold weather is bearing down upon
us, but don't let that be reason to stop you from coming out and joining us
every sunday at 9 AM for our weekly run. With great people and a chance to win
a $75 Gift Certificate how could you say no! Speaking of which, we're staying
on top of our monthly Raffle drawing and for the month of November the winner
was George M. So congrats to George for winning a $75 gift certificate for the
month of November.
I will be gone for the next few weeks (CIM this weekend and vacation for three
weeks after that), but Kyle or Tiffany will be here to greet you.
An additional note, some runners with our run group have created a very helpful

to check that out!

December Relay Around Lake Merced?
Here's some info.
LOCATION: Start/Finish and all exchange points at Sunset Circle
Parking Lot (Sunset Blvd. at Lake Merced)
START TIME: All teams start at 9 a.m.
DISTANCE: Each of 4 members runs one 4.464 mile leg. OK to
run one leg on more than one team.
Divisions: RelaysDivisions07
*From a preliminary count it sounds like we'd be close to fielding two teams: Me, Mark, Herman, Darci, Michelle, Jean.. just need one more female and male and we could split into either male/female teams or two couple teams. Anyone know if John is interested, or if Christine will be back from Australia by then.
REGISTRATION: Early entry fees: $88 per team with long-sleeve shirt $68 team with no
shirt if entry postmarked by December 8. $88 team late registration with no shirt. AFTER DEC 8 only race day (starting at 7:30 a.m.) or online entries (ALLSPORTcentral.com)allowed.
*If we get firms head counts, I don't mind going ahead and registering for one of the teams.
Proceeds go towards buying children's books for South Africa.
